Pantone Colours of 2021

For 2021, The Pantone Colour Institute chose yellow and grey as the colour palette of the year.  Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute  stated that “the bright yellow with the ultimate grey pairing reflects our innate need to be seen, to be visible, to be recognised, to have our voices heard. A combination of colour whose ties to insight, innovation and intuition, and respect for wisdom, experience, and intelligence inspires regeneration, pressing us forward toward new ways of thinking and concepts”

This colour paring can be seen on the catwalks and in everyday fashion. Many fashion designers like Gucci, Louis Vuitton  and Chanel are incorporating the colour in their designs for spring and fall collections.

In interior design using the 2021 colour palette has seen beautiful design schemes  by using fabrics and finishes.

The  pairing of grey and yellow, has been very present within the interior living space. I love the idea of vibrantly painted wallpaper to introduce yellow, and grey into a design/scheme. There are so many fantastic options to choose from at the moment – just like in nature we find a celebration of these colours in luxurious designs in hand-printed wallpapers, fabrics which celebrates in 2021 the will of the human spirit.
