How I became a luxury interior designer

As a serial entrepreneur, my journey began in the spa industry. Initially employed at a 4-star hotel, the General Manager, recognizing my expertise as a Spa Director, tasked me with creating four treatment rooms on-site. Despite being qualified but inexperienced, I was determined to succeed. With the help of general contractors, plumbers, and other professionals, along with extensive research, Bellissima Day Spa was established.

Starting with a hand-drawn room layout (now we use AutoCad), I conceptualized the theme, developed the treatment menu, curated spa products, and recruited staff, marking my debut in commercial interior design for spas. I broadened my skills by training as a florist and wedding planner before transitioning to Spa Manager at a Fairmount hotel, where I oversaw a significant 31,000 sq.ft. space with 14 treatment rooms, a sauna, and guest lounges.

Despite facing burnout, I pursued training as a Barrister and served as a governance professional for 16 years. However, my passion for interior design persisted. In 2020, I completed a residential interior design course in London, focusing on infusing luxury and color into classic designs. Across various sectors, my unwavering love for color and interior design remains evident in all my endeavors.
